Refund & Cancellation Policy

Fair, transparent cancellations.

Gusto Promotions is a marketing and events company based in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains our cancellation timeframes, refund eligibility, and how to request a refund — clearly and upfront.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all marketing services and event bookings provided by Gusto Promotions (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to clients in Calgary, Alberta, and across Canada. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms below.

We aim to be fair. If your plans change, we want to make cancelling as straightforward as booking was — while keeping enough notice to cover commitments we’ve already made on your behalf, such as venue holds, vendor deposits, and staff scheduling.

Cancellation Timeframes

Refund eligibility depends on how much notice you give us before the scheduled service or event start time. All times are in Mountain Time (Calgary).

48+ hours notice

Full refund

Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled service or event and receive a complete refund of any eligible fees paid.

Within 24 hours

50% refund

Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before the start time and receive half of the eligible fees paid.

Less than 24 hours

No refund

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service, or failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund.

For recurring marketing retainers, cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Any work already completed and delivered before cancellation is invoiced at the agreed rate and is non-refundable.

Event Booking Deposits

To secure a date, venue, or production slot for an event, we require a booking deposit. This deposit reserves our team and the resources we commit to your event on your behalf.

Event booking deposits are non-refundable. Once paid, a deposit cannot be returned, even if the event is cancelled or rescheduled, because it covers commitments we have already made to vendors, venues, and crew on your behalf.

If you reschedule an event with at least 14 days’ notice, your deposit may be applied to the new date, subject to availability. A new deposit may be required if the rescheduled event falls outside our standard booking window.

The cancellation timeframes above apply to any balance paid beyond the non-refundable deposit, not to the deposit itself.

How to Request a Refund

To cancel a service or event and request a refund, email our team with the details below. We process eligible refunds within 10 business days of approval to the original payment method.

Please include in your email

  • Your name and business or organization name
  • The service or event name and booking date
  • Your original invoice or booking reference number
  • The reason for cancellation (optional but helpful)
Email refunds@gustopromotions.ca

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement.

Dispute Resolution

If you believe a refund was handled incorrectly or disagree with a decision, we want to hear from you. We resolve disputes in good faith through the following steps:

  1. 1

    Contact us first

Email refunds@gustopromotions.ca with your concern and any supporting details. A manager will review and respond within 5 business days.

  2. 2

    Internal review

If the issue is not resolved, request an internal review. Our operations lead will reassess the case and provide a written decision within 10 business days.

  3. 3

    Mediation

If the dispute remains unresolved, either party may propose mediation through a neutral third party in Calgary. We will participate in good faith and share reasonable mediation costs.

This process does not limit any rights you may have under Alberta’s consumer protection legislation or other applicable law.

Force Majeure Exceptions

We understand that some circumstances are beyond anyone’s control. If an event or service is cancelled or significantly disrupted due to a force majeure event, the standard cancellation timeframes above may be waived or adjusted at our discretion.

Force majeure includes circumstances that could not reasonably be foreseen or avoided, such as:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather, or states of emergency declared in Alberta.
  • Public health emergencies, epidemics, or pandemics.
  • Government orders, travel restrictions, or venue closures beyond our control.
  • Fire, flood, power failure, or other serious accidents.
  • Civil unrest, strikes, or labour disputes not involving our own staff.

In a force majeure situation, we will work with you to reschedule the service or event to a mutually agreeable date. Where rescheduling is not possible, we will issue a credit toward future services equal to the amount paid, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred on your behalf. Notice of a force majeure cancellation should be sent to refunds@gustopromotions.ca as soon as reasonably possible.

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice on our website or by email where appropriate.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
