Privacy Policy

Your privacy, handled with care.

Gusto Promotions is a marketing and events company based in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — in plain language.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Overview

Gusto Promotions (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. We are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us and to operating in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, and applicable provincial legislation in Alberta.

This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we collect when you hire us for marketing services, attend or register for an event we produce, or visit our website; how we use that information; and the rights you have to control it.

Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to deliver our marketing and events services and to communicate with you effectively.

Information you provide directly

When you request a quote, book a service, or register for an event, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business or organization name, and any details you share about your project or event (dates, venue, guest count, marketing goals).

Payment information

We do not store full card numbers. Payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment provider (see Third-Party Sharing). We retain only the billing name and transaction records needed for accounting and tax purposes.

Automatic information

When you visit our website, our analytics tools collect limited technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address. This is used in aggregate to understand site performance — it is not used to identify you personally.

Event attendance information

For ticketed or registered events, we may collect attendee names, contact details, dietary or accessibility requirements, and attendance records for check-in and event coordination.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for those consistent with those purposes, as PIPEDA requires. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Provide the marketing, branding, and event services you engaged us to deliver.
  • Respond to inquiries, send quotes, and schedule consultations.
  • Coordinate event logistics, registration, check-in, and attendee communications.
  • Process payments and maintain financial records for tax and accounting.
  • Send service updates or event invitations you have agreed to receive (you can opt out at any time).
  • Improve our website, services, and the events we produce.

We will not use or disclose your personal information for any new purpose without first obtaining your consent.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only to the extent necessary to perform those services on our behalf. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are required to protect your information in line with PIPEDA.

Retention & Security

We keep your personal information only as long as it serves the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as required by law — for example, to meet tax and accounting record-keeping obligations in Alberta and Canada. Once no longer needed, we securely destroy or anonymize it.

We protect your information with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to reduce risk to a minimum.
